Supported Independent Living (SIL)

It provides around the clock care and support services in the home, a beneficial arrangement for those who require a higher level of support. The SIL that NDIS offers includes daily tasks such as personal care, showering and cooking meals. It helps you live as independently as possible whilst allowing you to develop your skills. Individualised Living Options (ILO)

If your current living situation is working well for you, but you require extra support around the home, Individualised Living Options might be right for you. ILO can be an alternative to SIL, it is more unique to you as the participant as it is tailored to suit your goals and support needs. How you structure your support package is up to you, whether you require more formal or informal supports such as family and friends. ILO with the NDIS is split into two stages, the first being exploring what your goals are and what you want your support network in the home to look like. The second stage is organising and putting these new supports in place. The best part, if your needs change, your supports can change. Flexibility and safety are priority number one when choosing ILO with the NDIS.
